Holey mystery, Batman! It's the Band of Holes!

I love the highlands of Peru.  The weather and landscape conditions are such that anything that marks the surface stays there undisturbed for the last several thousand years, perhaps since the Flood.  For example, the tracks of the first people to travel to the plains in automobiles back in the 1930's are still easily visible from the air.
The fabled Nazca Lines are here - mysterious lines on the surface of the plains that form shapes and laser straight lines going for miles that can only be seen from the air
In south-western Peru, on a plain called Cajamarquilla, near the upper end of the fertile Pisco Valley lies another feature, not nearly as well known, but equally as intriguing and relevant to our study.

Near the town are holes in the ground.    When standing on the ground beside them, it is difficult to tell anything definite about them because the soil has crumbled, but they are all six feet in diameter and range from two to six feet deep. Shallow holes are surrounded by deeper holes, in no discernible pattern or purpose.
The first fact that is of interest is that they are numerous - over 6,900 of them.  The theories that the materialistic uniformitarian experts have proposed have also been numerous.
One of the theories is that these are all burial sites that have been robbed.  The questions that this theory are uncountable?  Here's two:

Why are ALL the holes empty?

Why have there never been found in any of the 6,900 "graves' any bones or grave clothes or broken pottery - not even so much as a tooth or a thread?
Another theory is that these were storage pits that food or other supplies were kept in.  Questions?

Why would the ancients dig giant pits in the hard, rocky ground when they had pottery that would store things in a much more movable form?

Why has there never been any sort of cover found for any of these holes?

Why would they be dug into the sides of hills, so that things would roll or slide out of them?

Again, why has no remnant of any of these supplies (seeds, residue, etc.) been found within the holes (remember, the dessicated and thin air preserves ancient matter almost indefinitely).
The native peoples (who have lived in the area for thousands of years) have no indication in any of their stories or legends or traditions about the origin of the holes.  As far as the locals are concerned, the holes have just always been there.
As interesting as all of this is, like the Nazca lines, the most striking aspects are only seen from the air.
The holes are arranged in a band (oddly enough resulting in them being called "The Band of Holes", or "Banda de Agujeros .")  The band runs across valleys, up and down hills, in a very machine-like arrangement.
The reddish stripe on the left hand side is the Band of Holes
The Band stretches for over a mile, with no discernible pattern or goal, other than that the holes are arranged about twelve across, sometimes rigidly organized, sometimes in a more erratic pattern.  The idea that this could be some form of naturally occurring feature, as some contend, is ludicrous on the face of it.
To get the full effect of this feature, I suggest you go to Google Earth.  It is one of my very favorite programs.  If you search for and go to the Band of Holes, it will take you down and give you the illusion that you are flying over it.  This is very striking and gives you the full impact of the massive scale of the Band.
One last note.  At the northernmost end of the band, the ground is very dark, as if it had been scorched, as you can see from the aerial photos.   Why?
Again, we have massive evidence that seems to indicate the presence of ancient technology and skills that the materialistic uniformitarians cannot explain.  It is, however, easily explained by the idea that pre-Flood mankind was not only advanced, but more advanced than we are.   I think that the Biblical evidence and the archaeological evidence both support that idea.

This blog has been written with the sole purpose of using the ample evidence available to verify and support the biblical record, while refuting the copious propaganda that is shoved down our throats daily by materialistic uniformitarians.

It is my contention that the Bible describes God's original creation of people with extraordinary capabilities who subsequently built an advanced civilization that exceeds our own. That civilization was destroyed in the Great Flood and we have spent the last 5,000 years trying to re-build that civilization and regain those capabilities. I contend that science supports all this in multiple disciplines, but this information is ignored or suppressed by various people who have an opposing agenda.
Nothing that you see on this blog is original. Any fact that you see here is obtainable on a dozen different websites and books. I use these facts and photos, without violating their copyrights, under the legal principle of fair use practice. That is, I use them one time, for educational purposes only.
The point is, nothing here is made up. The only thing that I do (or need to do) is assemble this information in a discernible pattern.
You might want to read through the first entry posted on this blog (Past Remembering: Thoughts toward a coherent view of our ancient past, our present and our future) in order to understand my theoretical and theological underpinnings more clearly.

The truth is there. You just have to see it.

Ecclesiastes 1:9-10 (NASB)

That which has been is that which will be,

And that which has been done is that which will be done.

So there is nothing new under the sun.

Is there anything of which one might say,

“See this, it is new”?

Already it has existed for ages

Which were before us.
